Déglaçage (série en cours)

En explorant le déglaçage des rues de Québec, j'ai collecté plus de 150 kilos de sel de déglaçage excédentaire dans un périmètre de 0,1 km carré. Ce sel a été étendu, séché dans un espace d'exposition, trié, puis finalement balayé lors d’une manoeuvre impromptue. Une partie du sel a été moulu très finement sur le trottoir lors d'une performance furtive au cours d'une soirée dédiée aux performances. À un autre moment, j'ai récolté une vingtaine d'échantillons de sel au cours d'une seule nuit. Chaque échantillon a été soigneusement horodaté et ses origines ont été consignées (voir Collection de Sel).

Deicing (ongoing series)
Intervention, unannounced maneuver & site-specific installation.
Started in 2024.
Focusing on the deicing of Québec City streets, I collected over 150 kilograms of excess deicing salt within a 0.1 square kilometer area. This salt was spread out, dried in an exhibition space, sorted, and finally swept away during an unannounced performance. Some of the salt was finely ground on the sidewalk during a stealthy performance during an evening dedicated to performance arts. At another time, I gathered around twenty salt samples in a single night. Each sample was meticulously timestamped, and its origin documented (see Salt Collection).
